BODY NOISES
Should Not Be Left Unchecked
TT is unwise to allow body noises and Jflemishes to go unremedied for any* length of time, and the following advice is given on the preservation of silence and appearance of car bodies: 1. — Body squeaks may often be located m loose body bolts. 2. — Small dents, scratches, or cracks m the paintwork should be immediately repaired, as otherwise rust will attack the steel at the exposed .parts. 3. — Soft soap, if smeared on such parts as the door bolts and the tapes underneath the bonnet, will prevent some squeaks and rattles. It is also easier to remove from ( clothes than grease. 4. — Tar can be removed from body or paintwork by the application of a little vaseline to soften it, followed by an application of kerosene on a soft rag.
Wear Trouble fJNB cause of inefficient valve operation that is very rare, but none the less annoying, is the wear on the cams. This happens so seldom that it is quite hard to detect.
