which flies, the U.S.S. Co.'s 'house flag, he stepped ashore to take charge of the port of Greymouth half a score of years ago. Part of his job is to keep an eye en the weather and measure up the moip - ture for which the West Coast is famous. His graph of the weather for the past two decades m Greymouth is one of^the most interesting documents a visitor can peruse. By it dates are fixed for outdoor events of importance, as he shows when the weather Is likely to be settled.
