Sleep it off!

IT is not so much a matter of hours one sleeps, for complete rest, as it is the. degree of soundness, relaxa-' tion and quietness. Ten hours of fretful, jerky sleep will leave one tired, drugged and irritable, whereas six hours of completely relaxed sleep will leave one refreshed. Nervous sleepers are on the increase, due to , our present mode of living. To those people who find it difficult to rest, an hour's walk just before retiring every night will work wonders. Another habit to form if you would become a sound, sleeper is that of eating only a light supper * for the evening meal.

Heavy food is the greatest sleepchaser known. Unless one is very much underweight, nothing should ever be eaten just before bedtime... „ A cup of warm milk, a warm bath, a bit of reading before turning off the light are also suggestions for insomnia victims. A renowned beauty specialist, whose salons dot the capitals of Europe, will not accept a patient for her rejuvenating treatments unless a promise is given to get eight hours of sound sleep every night. This beauty expert realises that sleep does fifty per cent, of^her work for her — the rest depends on scientific skill.
