He won. some good races, however, and as he has gone on the right way since, Cashier will have to be reckoned with- in the New Zealand Cup if he goes 'to'the post. ' * . * • ■ • By the way, F. Tilley has- booked his passage for a trip to the Old Country on a boat leaving on March "■• His successor, who will have a big team to look after, will probably prove to be one who has been one of the most successful riders during the last few years. «■ * * It Is understood that Glenartney and Equitant have both done well during the winter, and the better of the pair is likely to play a prominent part m the settlement of the Wanganui Guineas. ; J * « «= "j Laughing Prince has already won the New Zealand Eclipse Stakes twice and he looks likely to make a bold big again next month. * ft * The alterations and improvements being made to the stewards' stand at Wanganui include the enlargement of the press-room, which will be lengthened •to thc extent oC about seven feet. ••'•.*■• • * . .' ■ Reremoana is showing some of his old-time speed again, and it will not be surprising if the' veteran runs a big race m the Eclipse Stakes."
