In the first success* of Ponjola, Alfie TrickJebank was the rider, but for the Hunt Cup at Poverty Bay gentlema'h rider.- Henry Dods was legged up and came homey Last Saturday at Hastings, with . 4 amateur Dods again m the saddle, Ponjola had stiffer opposition, but . that did not prevent another success coming his way. Over the ea,rly stages it was left to others to do the fighting, but over the final circuit Ponjola had it all his own way.
