H. Cucksey, and as his three- | year-old colt Flying Prince hung on m front to victory m the Dunedin Handicap sprint at the Pakuranga Hunt meeting his joy was unbounded. ' y \ It Is pleasant to note such wholehearted enthusiasm, but the victory would be doubly pleasant to Flying Prince's owner because the winning form would give him visions of the Flying King colt being returned a winner of some classics ahead. On that score, 'the success of Loomb's charge made it clear that a race like the Avondale Guineas may be within Flying Prince's grasp. The Australian-bred colt certainly only had the minimum to carry last Saturday, but' he never shirked his task out m front from barrier rise, and finally won by a length and a-half from Paddpn, Gold Money, and a dozen others. It was a. good .test of the three-year-old's ability, and Flying Prince is not likely to lack supporters if Stepped oht at Avopdale, :... y
