A JAUNTY NOTE
T ITTLB suede jackets that justify fully the much- *■' abused term "jaunty" are the newest of the new notes for sports wear. Tbey come mostly m one or other of numerous shades of brown now so popular. Worn with well-cut skirts of mixed tweed, close-fitting felt hats and tucked-in blouses, they achieve a smartness that is on a par with the comfort given m wear. Apropos sports wear, berets are stronger than ever, despite the fact that many who wear them have more bravery than taste.
The woollen cardigan continues to keep its place well m the front ranks for out-of-door wear, and nothing appears strong enough to oust the brown shoe m good leather from the position of first favorite for sports occasions. Novelty woollens are, only a beat away from tweeds for the full length coat, and again the brown shades are most used. There is a suggestion worth noting that the navy blue doublebreasted coat, with a flat tailored collar, and trimmed with brass buttons, will arrive with the spring.
