UPROAR IN THE COURT
Mans Pent-up Anger Unleashed (From 'N.Z. Truth's" Special Auckland . Hep.) Shaking with rage and the pentup force of the words he 'could not utter quickly enough, Peter Bradley' turned to the public gallery m the Auckland Magistrate's Court and started to remove his clothing. LJIS object, he avowed, was ta show the surprised and amused gathering of habitues the bruises which, he alleged, a brutal artd callous police force had inflicted on his manly bosom. Unfortunately for Bradley, two of his alleged persecutors grabbed him by the shoulders and forcibly removed him from the dock to'the prisoners' room, whence his demands for justice could be heard until well after the next case was "called. The charges; against Bradley were those of being drunk and of assaulting Constable Miller, who stated that when the man was being searched,, a* the watch-house, he became exceedingly violent and kicked the officer several times, besides punching him. Corroborative evidence having been given by the desk-sergeant, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M.i sent Bradley to Mt. Eden for two months, stating he was a nuisance to everyone. As a result of the Huntly mine accident, Bradley's face was very badly damaged and he s could; no longer, work. It was mentioned by Mr. Hunt that everything possible had been done for the man. "He had better go back to his usual abode," was the magistrate's parting remark. .mmmmmMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ■'
