Diamonds Sparkle
(From "N.Z. Truth's" Wellington Rep.) CHAMPIONSHIP problems have largely vanished m Wellington Soccer and Diamonds again look like sparkling at the head of the table. "Hospital's break •m holding Petone to a draw m a six-goal game, has left the odds In favor of the chimplonship leaders. For with two games to go Diamonds must Ipse both to miss the premiership. One of these games, certainly, Is against Petone, the second team on the ladder, but the other, against Institute, will be lost .only by a miracle. Petone, with an extraordinary record of five drawn games, have lost their golden chance through a slump m form at the critical . stage of the championship bout. Diamonds, when they take the prer miership, Will have earned It by consistent play throughout the season. They did not lost a match m the first round and were robbed of a thorough-ly-deserved win against Nlarist, because the referee made a mistake In keeping the time. lIIIIIIIIIIIiIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIHIIIUIIIHIIIIIIUIIIIIIIIIIIIIMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
