MA TERIALS FOR SPRING
Sports Suits Will Be Feature
Paris designers have decreed that the sports suit is to be- a very important item m milady's wardrobe this season, and many of the nicest materials seem to be made especially for this type of frock. THAT delightful woollen material, 1 Rodier, through which . runs a. thread of gold, makes the smartest jumpers,' and a plain tricot, trimmed round the hips with-a three stripe border, looks well. Three contrasting colors, such as black, blue and fawn, can be used, and the bands drawn into a steel buckle at the side. Art silk georgette m fancy weaves is a very suitable material for juniper suits, and silk and wool jerseys m fancy weaves will be worn for some time still. Wool lace is very dressy, and the velvet knit materials have proved just as popular here as abroad. Colored embroidery is being used with good effect on jumpers. A row of stiff little flowers growing from the pockets is an amusing touch, and a band of embroidery round the hips is smart. Very attractive is the grouping of tiny flowers m a large design on the front of the waist! and the collar and cuffs can be lightly embroidered to match.
Scarves are still to be an important adjunct to the sports suit, and they seem to be bigger than ever this season. Batik designs are again m favor, and color is lavishly used.
