The' latter objected and dealt the police officer a violent blow over the nose, so injuring the sergeant that a doctor's attention was necessary. Mr. White told the court that Lonie had lost £5 or £6 that day, and he had no recollection of having struck the sergeant. Lonie was lucky enough to get off with the fine indicated, m default seven -days' imprisonment. . v
