At Face Valuation
UACK six furlongs races at ** Trentham provide a wonderful opportunity to get money if the right sort of horse is m the stable. Very, seldom indeed is the favorite backed down to a cramped price, and two to one can always be got for one's money. Bert. Tinker, one of the few that have successfully combined riding and. training, brought one down to the meeting and put m for a big win. A track gallop that did not get publicity gave him the confidence. In double handfuls the money went on,. and after the first furlong there was never any need for panio. though perhaps Bert, was a little upset when Wiggins started to pull his mount up with nearly half a furlong to go. It was a most impressive vlotory, and on it Valuation' will win more than his share, even m the best of cdmpany. At trotting meetings it is usual to see a horse being pulled up, to keep time down, but at galloping it is the exception. But it was done with Valuation, and at face value he is the best hack seen out on the course for a long time.
