THERE is one man m the theatrical business who cannot find the word "tired" m the dictionary and his name is Charles Smith. Manager of the Auckland Majestic, the largest picture theatre m the North Island, he seems to revel m handling crowds.. He believes m the three essentials for picture entertainments; good films,, the comfort of the patron and jgood music. * ; ' It is many years now since he was on the road ' as advance manager of various theatrical , companies. The knotty problem's of the, old days were more complicated than they are now, even though the audiences were not as big. -.•"■■; Charley Is a young man whose smiling face and pleasant manner dispels patronic grievances and makes those who come m contact with him regard Smith as a regular fellow.
