(From "N.Z. Truth's" Auckland «ep.) Supremacy's elder sister, The Begum, has duly landed her third sprint m succession. FROM the appearance of the handicaps for the Flying at Franklin she was always favorite, and from the hop- out the daughter of Chief Ruler was never out of the fight. It looked m safe keeping to keen ob-/ servers rounding the home bend, but a little further on Macroom threatened danger m the middle of the track, while Kingfleld . caused . The Begum's rider some anxiety over the final furlong. As a matter of fact, it would not have been surprising had the favorite's horseman been admonished for coming over dangerously close to win by a neck. Macroom failed to keep a straight course and lost place-money by-swerv-ing towards the outer. The Begum's victory made four wins out of her last five starts, and with her and , 'Supremacy, Owner A. J. McGovern is experiencing a particularly rosy time this season.
