THIS should give the lie direct to the assertion made recently that the public view trotting- ywith more and' more: confidence. . . /It is up to the northern trotting,' heads to realise that the public for which they dater wish for a display of firmness on the. -part of those running the show. The public also look for the backing up of stipendiary activity when alert stipes bring matters of inconsistency before the various committees. There have been too many "explanations accepted" passed on to the public through the press. It is for the "heads" , not to stand for all these explanations, and it is also up to them to dp something.
