The Australian showed no inclination to take the fight to the American and was on the defensive most of the fight. , . , La Barba was on top all the time and, won easily on points. From the seventh round the men were counted out a couple of times each round, although la Barba was always trying to fight hard. > La Barba and Willie Smith meet m their return fight at Sydney Stadium on March 16.
