QNE of the leading lights of OhineV muri district is Hugh Poland, exM.P., who enjoyed the confidence of the constituency for many years. But apart from his interest In politics, he has other activities that keep him busy. Besides being an ex-legislator, a practical farmer, and an authority on mining he is also secretary of the Ohinemuri Racing Club. He is a very good secretary, too.
