Christchurch Stages Grand Guignol

TJNLIMITED CHARITIES recently introduced to Christchurch audi- ' ences the Grand Guignol type of play, and the novelty was thoroughly appreciated. "The Nutcracker Suite," "Cupboard Love" and "E. and 0.E." were presented, comprising an unconventional mixture of the tragic and the humorous, with a flavor of the gruesome. The company was very successful with the new venture, and great credit is due to Mr. Alan W. Brown, the producer, who also took a leading role m each of the three pieces. The funds will benefit the Returned Soldiers' Association relief fund and Nurse Maude's relief fund.
