Parental Ire
TIME was— and it is well within *■ the memory of most of vs — whon parental authority descended with a heavy hand when childish misdemeanor was manifest. NowuduyH the tendency is to go to the other extreme. Children are invariably spoiled by indulgent parents, and wrongdoing is frequently overlooked. Both extremes are bad, both for -parents and child. Heavy-handed punishmertt is to be deprecated as much as Illadvised indulgence. Try tho middle course when little Johnny rebels against authority. Firmly, but kindly, assert your authority, but rather appeal to the better side of him — or her — at the same time making it perfectly obvious that your word Is law. fli<imiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!iii)iiiiiiiimiiumiiiiiHiimiuiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiniiiiuiiit
