Mrs. Mac is better known throughout the land as Miss Granny Maher; • Granny has always been an expert with a jumper, and her stable) is going to be a power 'this winter season. Mrs. McDonald produced Elicit, at Wrtnganui, and she left it to friend hubby to consummate the job. The public also left it to him. Elicit was a good favorite, and three furlongs, from home he took his hook from the rest of the field and came m backwards, to give the couple their first success m their first try. The second day Elicit won again, but only just. In fact, the stewards would have been m order m reversing the positions and awarding Atareria first money. In addition to Elicit, the stable shelters Locarno and Red Fuchsia, two jumpers that are worth big money, and then there are Peneus and Grand National.
