Jottings About Town
Off To England
FOR the next few months Wellington will miss one of its most prominent welfare workers and "live wires" m the absence abroad of Mrs. A. McVicar,' J.P., who is taking a wellearned holiday. No woman has rendered greater service to "Wellington than has Mrs. McVicar, whose work on the Hospital Board 'and the many other social and civic bodies m which she has interested, herself is well-known throughout the Dominion. Mrs. McVicar has devoted much time and thought to social problems and is a champion of the under-dog. Her ready sympathy is always for the less fortunate members of the community, and Wellington can ill afford to lose her, even temporarily. Here's wishing her Ron Voyage and a safe return to the Dominion. niiiiiiiiiiiniiiiiiMiiiiiiiiiHiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiuiiiiiiiiniiiiiiiMiiiiiniii
