From The East

The palatial eastern homes of the Europeans, the desire of the Oriental ■women to acquire hygienic methods of domestic science, their reverence for the teachers Avith the message, the quaint habits of the Malays, the Imperial splendor of Oriental Royalty, and the resistance of the east to the change, to western customs are spoken interestingly of by Miss Owen whose ten years m the east has furnished her with a wonderful fund of knowledge.
