Attempt On A Racehorse THISTLE BAIT (From "N.Z. Truth's" Brisbane Rep.) Caught m the act of attempting to administer dope to the racehorse Urgency, at Bundaberg, one of a gang which has been operating for some time m Queensland was sentenced to three months' hard m the local police court. A COUPLE of months ago the black- ** smith employed at Kedron Park racecourse caught one of. the gang m the act of administering dope to a horse. The smith grabbed the "nobbier," and was proceeding to haul him round to the front of the stand m search of the owner of the horse, when he was set upon by three other directors of Dope Unlimited, and the culprit was rescued. \ The person who has been sentenced to three months at Bundaberg is Robert Rutherford MacPherson. He had m his possession • a bottle of liquid similar to that contained m the bruised thistlestick he attempted to give the racehorse , Urgency.
