Back To Grandma s Fashions! Many aspects of the eccentric new mode are directly traceable to our grandmother's day. ONE of these is the new and very smart fur jacket, short and -flared above the hip, which" is a replica, except for the leg of mutton sleeves, of the ones that used to be worn for polite, promenades m the gay nineties. The new watch pendants and large slab-like jewellery . are also a resurrection from that- age, and the modified bustle that has recently become popular. Against all this is the extreme grace and delicacy of the modern styles and the fact that day frocks are as useful', m cut and material as ever they were.. ; Woman intends to adopt what was best of the old styles and keep the freedom and svelte lines of the ne%y.
