Hollywood's Lead In Pyjamas ■ ' Two new and surprising innovations m widely different spheres • are .lace' pyjamas and the latest "awning" beach suits. The former has, been instituted by a film star, as might be expected. CHE had her pyjamas made with satin trousers as far as the knee when-;, they resolved into cascades of lace^ and she: wore'. a lace jumper. - Very airy ; but just the thinjy for .these hot x -New Zealand summers ! An ail-lace -sui^ has also baen seen arouul the environs of Hollywood. The awning bathers are quite the smartest, and reminiscent ot the- Lido fashions; though far more practical than the majority of t'-.ose. The wide-legged trunks, cut on the latest lines, are striped m black, white and red, and the bodice, which is of white jersey, is bound m black and boasts a row of black buttons up the front.' This costume is practical as well as striking. A satin or woollen wrap, carried out m the same sti'ipes and colors, accompanies the costume. The wide-legged trunks mentioned above have been worn m America and Paris. They are a great deal more becoming than the close-fitting trousers, and give an engagingly feminine silhouette.
