IMPROVING
Heavy Scoring In Otago (From "N.Z. Truth's" Dunedin Rep.) Since the Xmas holidays, senior cricket m Dunedin seems to have advanced m leaps and bounds. Incidentally, the competition has shuffled itself into a most interesting stage. QLD BOYS' fine score of 329 for five wickets against Dunedin last Saturday looks like consolidating- their leading- position, particularly, m view of the fact that Grange, the second team m the competition, drew stumps when m a very indifferent position against Colts. The outstanding, feature 1 of Saturday's play was Dickinson's .charicejess 123 for Old Boys.. Two wickets fell for 15 before Dickinson, partnered by" Gale, started tb ; . keep the scorers busy. It \tfas one of the best partnerships seen m the competition this season, ! Gale's bright efforts being rewarded with a tally of 54..-.. .V . , ; Albion's performance goes to show that though they are virtually "out" of the competition, the . team is going to be a thorn in '.the side of some, of the more successful 1 clubs.
