GRANGE'S JUBILEE J7OR years one of the pioneering * cricket clubs of Dunedin, Gi-ange will celebrate their jubilee m March, of this year. Grange intend doing things properly, and Bill Rowland has asked "Truth" to help by suggesting that old members' should forward particulars of the early daj's of the club. The jubilee should be a big day for Grange, /especially if Rowland knows anything about it 1 , and "Truth" here offers its heartiest congratulations on past -efforts with wishes for a greater future. NOT COMPETING QTAGO'S Kellerman Cup representative was left open until after the swimming of the annual Otago harbor race for the Batt Cup, and as it was j known beforehand that N. H. Bailey, last year's fastest-time man, if again ji successful, could not make the trip, a I bold bid for qualification by C. J. E. McLean was anticipated. However, McLean was several minutes behind Bailey and his form did not sufficiently impress the officials to warrant his being included m the Otago team for the big open-water event. HOT BOWLING THE fifth round m the Dunedin senior •*■ cricket brought the competition to a- most interesting stage. As the teams stand ,at present, Old Boys take the lead .with a point's difference from Grange, and Dunedin and Carisbrook still another point behind for third place. Colt's and Albion are each two points on. This turn of events was m no small way due to the devastating work of various bowlers m the second afternoon's,play of the fifth round matches. Here are some of the best figures: — (Albion) Shepherd, 4 for 12, Caskie 3 for 12; (Carisbrook) Spackman 4 ..for 37, .Cameron 3 for 35; (Grange) Knight 5 for 18.-Eimes 5 for 31; (Dunedin) -McGregor 7 for 43. . Surely this is a record day for senior matches? .
