An exotic mixture of bits and pieces culled from every country, age, and style is the mode of tomorrow, which the smart woman knows is twice as important as that of to-day. TO be just one jump ahead of advancing fashion is every female's ambition. As for the day after tomorrow—that is buried m the problematical future. One of the new lines is the "Cossack," which is modelled on the great cloth coats worn by the Cossacks, with a full bodice, fairly high waist, and a' skirt which ends m belled>- flares. Two of the points meet at the back of the waist, and the other two are at the neck and%he centre |of' the" skirt -respectiv ely. ; Black baby pony cloth is a material that might have been worn with impunity by the favorite wife of some marauding Tartar, but it seems a little overdone m this day of the S.P.C.A.
