A RECORD
Bridson's Fine Swim IN TGP_FORM (From "N.Z. Truth's" Auckland Rep.) Dave Lindsay will not be able to* remain long at the New Zealand swimming championships m Wellington next month. LJIS appearance for Auckland, where 11 he is now, residing, will, however, greatly enhance that centre's chances of claiming the majority of events. The Auckland team Is indeed a strong one, and northern supporters will be greatly surprised if it does not return with at least three trophies to its credit. , Lindsay, Brfdson and Miss Stockley are the big trio. Bridson's recent performances m Auckland indicate that he will show . an amazing improvement over 220 yards, for he will be out to take seconds off the existing record. It is not generally known that, besides his fine performance over that distance at the Auckland meeting, he broke Kronfeld's four-year-old record by three seconds m an unofficial swim.
