LUCKY BIRD
Logan Park's Race At Petone (By "The Toff.") Should Logan Park be beaten m the New Zealand Gold Cup at Wellington on Saturday, he should be trifle for the Dispatch Handicap. T OGAN PARK is conceding only k 24yds. to the limit bunch and. provided he leaves the mark correctly it should be a cake-walk for him. The Abbey, Loch Moigh, and The Shrew are three true and speedy pacers; so is Audacious when he is right. f - They are sitting on the front of the handicap. Then on 12yds. are Black Admiral and Free Advice, both capable of stirring up the dust for ten furlongs. Black Admiral and Free Advice have previously performed creditably on the Petone course. This is something worth knowing, for several alleged certainties have come undone at Wellington through the tricky track. ' But- nothing should have a ghost of a chance with Logan Park, which knows his way round the Petone circuit, and is at home on it. Should lie receive a penalty for a success that he might achieve m the Gold Cup, The Abbey, The Shrew and Free Advice might finish m the money.
