Stubborn. stains may be removed by using- a cloth dipped m lemon, rhubarb or tomato juice. * tf • * " ' Dark alkaline stains may be removed by placing a piece of lemon m the saucepan, Ailing it with cold water and bringing it to the boil, and should the saucepan become badly stained it will respond to a gentle rubbing with woodash and bicarbonate of soda.
