Reremai Got Into A Box HE WILL KEEP (From "N.Z. Truth's" Auckland Rep.) It seldom falls to J. T. Paul's lot , to get boxed m and beaten for a^ dividend,, but such happened up north last week. LIE must certainly have felt annoyed ■ when Reremai, labelled and'dressed m her best, received the K.O. from Warplane and Ricardo m the two-mile Telegraph Handicap. ; The astute reinsman had the Our Thorpe mare m fifth "possy" on, the rails for the greater part of the ti'ip, and when she moved up second- at the ciuarter peg her supporters reckoned it was like taking candy from a kid. But there 'was a fly m the amber, for J. Shaw shot up on the outer with Warplane and the Reremai outfit was snowed m. ; . . ■ ■. Though "J. 7." tried fiar'd to wangle her into, an opening througfi" which a rabbit could hardly squeeze, he had to fling, m the towel. To the inexperienced^ eye, Reremai, without .detracting from Warplane's performance, was stiff, but like good wine, she will keep. iiiiiiiiiiiNiiiimiiiiiiiiiiiiiiKiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiKiiiiiiiituiiimiiiiiuiiiuuiimiiiiuMiiiii!
