Watts What?
TACK WATTS is one of the big men J behind sport m Auckland, and afier working strenuously to put the Northern Boxing Association on the map, the busy secretary is pulling every string he knows to keep it there. ' , • He understands the public, and does his best to give it what it wants, .with the result that there is little grumbling. There are few m Auckland, or for that matter m New Zealand, who can claim .as many friends as can Jack, for his' activities have kept him m touch with a large number of sports. . ... His little shop, tucked away down a lane off Queen Street, where he does good business m the sportnigrequisites line, is the meeting .; place of 'many of •the giants of, the field and ring, and he is looked upon more as a friend than an official. His list of friends is not bounded by the shores of New Zealand, for he is well-known among sportsmen across the Tasraan, and •boxers and followers of the sport from overseas may be seen seeking him 'soon after they land at Auckland. . He is. a sport among sports. May he hear' the referee's cry of "box on" for some time to come.
