THE. world's prize mean man was '* seen outside the Christchurch Post Office the other day.
A girl coming out of the private box lobby dropped a shilling. The "gentleman" picked it up and stood by until she was out of sight around the corner. Then, with the air of a man who has made the most of the day, he turned and walked away. He was not "down at heel." He was better dressed than the average. . -'■ " -V It is to be hoped that his Christmas pudding gave i him a long and protracted pain.
