TWENTY- ONE years syne! And, like a certain blend of Scotia's famous product, still going strong. The Reverend James Milne, M.A., of Thames, is also a product bf Scotia. One minute's pow-Avow with him would demonstrate that beyond doubt. Nor would you need to inquire what particular flock he tended. But he is no narrow denominationalisjt and makes no secret of his desire to see a "merger" take place between the churches. ....',. A much- travelled meenister is the Rev. James. Scotland, London and Australian congregations have listened to his firstly, secondly, and lastly; and he was one of his kirk's two representatives at the Faith and Order conference at Lausanne (Switzerland). He would scarcely need a guide-book for any part of Europe. lie wields a facile pen, and during his two decades at Thames many journals have eagerly sought his "copy." In the courts of his church ( he lifts up a lone voice m support of State Purchase and Control. But he's not a bit downhearted about that nor about any.of the problems of ethics and conduct that he confronts. For he is able to draw upon an unlimited stock of kindly, cheery optimism^
