STRIKING FORM
MORMAN DOWSETT, the New Zealand sprint champion, is beginning to strike form again. The. other night he left 66 2/3 yards behind m, time which meant covering the 100 m two-fifthg over his record. He did not swim up to that last Saturday, how.ever, an he did 62secs. to be beaten a touch by Hector Gowan, who had 3secs. .'•■; Gowan is a much -improved lad, and before the season ends will probably get down close to the minute. Dowsett has not done much training so far, but no doubt will rapidly regain his best form now that he is m solid •work. • -' • ' . ( The local lady champion, Natalie Stratton, is also going to do well this season. Already she is showing great pace, and put up a fast 66 2-5 yards swim the other evening.
