Rolfe Audubon At
Waikato A STYLISH WIN (From "N.Z. Truth's" Auckland Rep.) One of the most stylish performances for a three-year-old was registered by Rolfe Audubon at Claudelands on Saturday. LIE skipped and tangled at the word go, and lost at least twenty yards, but once into his stride he began reefing for his head. It was not until they n eared the last quarter-mile post that he was allowed to feel the bit, but then it was only for a second. That, however, was long enough and he forged ahead to be again reefed and allowed to win by three parts of a length. Julian's chestnut is a trimmer and the more he races the greater will be his efforts. From now on he will gradually meet better stuff, and the better it is the better they will have to go to top him off. The Frankton Handicap win was his first to date, but it was only his third start, his previous attempt being m the Great Northern Derby, when he ran second.
