Carries It Well
/^UESSING ages has long been a fayVJ orite pastime, but if ever you take on Bill Colman, of Martinborough, you are bound to err on the lower side. A life of hard work out m the frosh air has helped Bill to carry his years, and when it is known that he is close approaching the allotted span it inclines one to the belief that Bill is a disciple of V.oronoff . For many years Bill has scratched a crust out of a block of land behind Martinborough, and he has closely identified 'himself with all movements •calculated to help the district. As an employer of labor, Bill gives his men, especially seasonal workers like shearers, a fair go, whether the Sheepowners' Federation liked it or not. A strong man who understands to the full the meaning of human kindness, Bill is outspoken to- the last word, and his forceful opinions have often caused the conservative grannies of the Farmers' Union to loolc askance when Bill Colman speaks his piece. Bill dearly loves a good horse, and his only vice is a day at the gallops.
