Corporal Punishment
Q. : Is a schoolteacher legally entitled to administer corporal punishment to pupils? — "No Bet" (Wellington). A.: The Crimes Act, 1908, provides that a schoolmaster may administer such corporal punishment as is reasonable m the circumstances. If he uses unreasonable force he is guilty of an assault.
