ROWING men m Wellington are not too pleased over the recent transfer on promotion of Karl F. Crease, of Turnbull and Jones. For Crease is a handy man with an oar and has been one of the stalwarts — or is it the bulwarks — of the Star Boating Club. Still, sportsmen- to the last, the Wellington chaps realize that you can't keep a good man always and, therefore, they have hidden their disappointment under their very genuine good wishes. In sport and business, Karl is a very useful member, and m Auckland — his I new sphere of activity— he is bound 10 make good. Of a likeable nature, he has mastered the art of making 1 friends on his merits and keeping them, too. So how, Wellington has to look around for another man to wield aa [oar as gracefully as Crease.
