HAS THE PACE
She Was Unlucky On Saturday In a day's racing there is always a number of unlucky horses to write off. . CO.it was at Riccarton last Saturday, ** ' but none was more unfortunate than the paper Money filly, Dutch Money. .She was entrusted with the cash, ' but second was her portion. s At the barrier rise she was all but knocked over by Push, and, if this- was not bad enough, when going for an opening as the ' course proper was reached she was disappointed. Two set-backs ; in a four furlong race would 'finish the average two-year-old, but hot so Dutch Money. After getting: her balanced again, her rider set off after the leaders anfl it was. a right gallant, effort she made. But' the distance was too short to allow her making up the leeway and she was a neck to the bad at the post. Dutch Money is a nice filly, and though she is yet to reach her. second anniversary, of her foaling she •will, from now on, more than hold her own with the best kicking about. Many would like to see her taken to Ellerslie at Christmas time, but it is more likely that she will go .South to. Wingatui.
