OH! A BEAUTY
Free Advice The Goods
(From "l^.Z. Truth's" Auckland Rep.) There were two good things at Alexandra Park fast week and Free Advice was both of them. rjAMB RUMOR — ever a lying jade — broadcasted- the information that "Scotty" Bryce's chargers mission on opening 'day , was ' the Electric Handi-. cap.' ... '; ' '> : -'•.-"-..• \ Such was not the case, for the boodle was bundled m earlier m the day for the Improvers', arid the chestnut mare won easily though the judgels decision was a head. Just how good she is was demonstrated on the final day m the Islington Handicap. It was a treat to see -her come along half a mile from the man m the box and doing it on the bit showed a clean pair of heels to Luvari and Pageant, which filled the minor places. The best of Free Advice has not been seen and when next she lets it rip it Will be a shame to take the money. Etta Cole! Oh, what a corker and "Doc." is as pleased as a dog with two tails.
Prior to Epsom there was a suggestion that Smoko Peter -was useful. It was only a suggestion — no more.
They were lucky to get second money with Lonesome at Epsom. She should have been outed for galloping.
Ribbonwopd's Host is going to make good. He is regaining his punch.
Tiger Salve is no Mutt, and C, J. Lee no' Jeff. ' Two wins swelled the bank account at Epsom.
