He Has Great Chance In The Oamaru Cup

Should he start, King Pointer will be the popular fancy m the Oamaru Oup Handicap. His followers will receive a big shock if by any chance he fails.

IT is about six months since King Pointer was led m a winner of a two-mile race, his last two successes having 'been made over mile courses. He can stay; so the two' miles at Oamaru will not trouble him. In May last, . Jolly Pet effected a decisive win at the Oamaru fixture, and a return to that form would entitle him to • respect. His victory clearly, showed that he is capable of doing, much 'better, and it is only necessary for him to begin correctly to take a hand m the contest. Shine Soon and Harold Thorpe are among B. Edward'^ representatives. Under good conditions both geldings are competent two-milers and should have the support of the stable's associates.
