IF SHE RUNS
Money Will Come For Her
(From "N.Z. Truth's" Christchurch ; Rep.) The only disappointing response from owners for the Gore meeting, Is m the'Waikaka Handicap. ONLY' seven horses were nominated, . and it is quite likely that this number will be further reduced when the acceptances • are posted. That brilliant mare, Celerity 11., •heads the list with 9.7. She has hot had a race since she. wpn with 9.6 at the Dunedln winter meeting, but she races well when fresh. She has a winning sequence of four races, while she has not been out of a place m her last six starts, and her undoubted class should carry her through. There will be many who will support Queen Balboa on the way she finished on m third place m the Ranfurly Handicap at Wingatui. That gallop indicated that she is reaching her form. Bilbo is now well down m the weights, but neither he nor Lucy Locket are class enough to go with the top- weight, which should win. Shodld she not start, Queen Balboa is preferred at the distance.
