HARKEN YE TO THIS LESSON
THEY are home again. And, my word, they are very happy about it, too. The All Blacks, some still showing the wear and tear of the tour, arrived on Tuesday. They left New Zealand vaunted as one of the great Rugby combinations of the age, vigorous young disciples of the true New. Zealand game. . ■ • They have returned disciples of the South African forward game, the three scrummagers m the front row and the deadly effect of scientifically applied weight, weight and more weight. Unless New Zealand's Rugby administration intends groping m purblind conservatism, it. will have to heed our Rugby ambassadors, listen to their opinions and apply their theories based on the field of international Rugby experience. Anyway, here's to Maurice Brownlie, Mark Nicholls and the other wearers of the fernleaf. They fought valiantly and they always did their best. They shared the Tests, so the position is as it was seven long years ago. It will be a generation of new Rugby enthusiasts which will greet the next Springbok team to the Dominion. .
