DED HEATHER will be benefited by the racing he has had, but at the distance should be safely held by Jovial. Diana's Lad is the pick of the others. There seems nothing equal to extending Camisader m the Mangatua Handicap unless it is Ma jo ram. There will be a scuffle for positions m the Trial Stakes and riders and post positions will be a bier help. Starshooter, Waving Corn and Royal Flower look the best. Royal Tractor will be solidly • supported for the Tacoma Handicap, but Noteworthy will have to be reckoned with. If Taboo is reserved for the October he will be favorite, but Vaward and Miss Winkie are worthy of support. STILL GOES FAST , *'M.Z. TRUTH" saw Royal" Doulton A " run half .a mile m 48 3/6 at Ellerslie last week-end — the same morning on which it took some of the best 60secs. to cover the distance.
