nURING last week the New ** Zealand , Metropolitan and' the Oamaru Trotting Clubs appointed new handicappers to fill the vacancies which occurred through the death of Harry Brinkman. Out of 27 applicants George Paul Junr., of Auckland, was appointed to the Metropolitan job, while Harry Jardeh, of Christchurch, was appointed to size them up for Oamaru. Both men know the ropes.
