Billy Sea Berths Easily (By "The Toff.") The contest for the Burwood Handicap was spoilt by an accident that occurred when the field had travelled seven furlongs. AT that period of the race Bay Nut was m front with Matagouri, Diamond Child, Evelyn Locanda, Bing Boy, Harvest Child and Genuine racing m that order. The accident was caused through Matagouri falling and bringing down Harvest Child, Pirpo and Evelyn Locanda. When the staoke of the incident had cleared Bay Nut, Diamond Child, Bing Boy, Kotuku Jack and Vesuvius were out clear of Billy S6a. The first mile was run m 2.23. Bay Nut was still m possession , at the mile and a-half run m , 3.33 4/5 with Bing Boy, Vesuvius and Billy Sea as his nearest attendants. But when the straight was reached Billy Sea wore Bay Nut down and beat him by a neck, Vesuvius being three lengths farther away. Bingr Boy was fourth. ' K % . Billy Sea marked Ij.
