LADY DRIVERS
, Prejudice Must Go After»seeing the manner m which thousands of lady drivers handled their cars m the heavy traffic on the main routes .during the summer months, it must appear that it is time the widespread prejudice against women drivers was given its quietus. TT certainly cannot be denied that ■*■ there are many bad -women drivers, their chief fault "being a lack of consideration for other road users, but they 'are probably little more numerous m proportion than bad men drivers, and a bad mafi driver is undoubtedly a more dangerous and inconsiderate person than a bad woman driver. Probably one of the reasons that there are numerous incompetent lady drivers is that they have not been properly taught. ' Some women are exasperatingly slow to learn, and their teachers are only too glad to wash their hands of them at the earliest possible moment! A -woman who overcomes this trouble by later, experience usually, by a paradox, turns out. a really first-class driver.
