Manukas Head
TpHERE are', alas, many "people who Intake one- sea-trip and spend the 'rest of their lives inventing yarns m which they shine greatly as heroes. Your real sailorman is . not one to talk.' True, he can and does— on occasions—delve into the past; but they who. wear the honored uniform of the mercantile marine t place modesty of speech as one of the greater attributes of a gentleman. , Such, then; is Captain G. B. Morgan, who is taking command of the good ship Manuka when she assumes the running" of .the New Zealand-Melbourne trade. ' f It'& a name that smacks /of the sea, is Morgan. , The worthy captain^ will forgive us for recalling the pirating gentleman of 'that name. ; , . •■ There have been Morgans on the sea since Engfand first took over the command of the seas. Arid now we find a Morgan m a go.od ship. The "Manuka" is an old favorite and known all over the Dominion. Good luck, to both of them.
